Premier Marinas and Premier Yacht Sales would like to invite you to join them on their summer Road Show! The Road Show event will see a team of people from Premier Yacht Sales tour Premier’s south coast marinas with a range of top brand boats from the Elan, Moody, Island Packet and Cranchi ranges. Allowing people the opportunity to get a good look onboard without the boat show sized crowds.

 In addition, there’ll be plenty going on in and around the marina, with extra activites and things to see provided by marina tenants at each location.

The event kicks off at Sovereign Harbour on the first May bank holiday weekend - 3-5 May 2008. Will you be joining us?

I am delighted to inform you that the Secretary of State has decided not to intervene in the planning application for the redevelopment of Swanwick Marina.

The matter now rests with Fareham Borough Council and we are confident we will receive the go ahead in the very near future.

This decision really does allow us to prepare for the future of Swanwick and I would like to thank all those who have expressed their support over the last few months. As soon as we have a definate timetable, I will let you know.

Southsea marina are pleased to announce the completion of the much awaited refurbishment of the ablutions at the west end of the marina.

Each cubicle has been refitted with high quality fixtures and fittings throughout, and the whole row have been treated to new doors and light fittings, bringing the entire block up to the high standard of finish demanded by Premier Marinas.

We welcome your comments on the refurbishment, please don’t hesitate to let the Southsea team know your thoughts on the facilities.

Did you know Premier are running an Elan Regatta from the 4th - 6th July at our Gosport Marina? All elan owners are invited to take part! Thanks to all those that have registered their interest already! We have secured sponsorship so far from Raymarine and Harken and will be supporting Sail 4 Cancer.

Are you an elan owner and wanting to meet and compete with others? Don’t worry if you are a cruising family with an Impression this event is to suit all - the full racing crew in the Elan 410 to couples in their 344 - we look forward to seeing you!

By now, Swanwick Berth Holders will have received a copy of our new Masthead Lifestyle Boating Magazine, a copy of the Swanwick 2008 Tide Tables, Marine Support information and details of the newly upgraded Premier Advantage Benefits package.

May I take this opportunity of urging you to take 5 minutes to read the Premier Advantage leaflet, it really does include some great customer benefits, particularly as we have recently added some new ones.

• New Website - boatsandchandlery.com. Sell you unwanted boating bits online. Free advertising with Premier during Jan and Feb 2008. From 1st March the fee is £25 for boats and bits over £500, a free advert is available for values less than £500.
• Free Recycling Bags for all customers. It’s really not that difficult to apply what we do at home to our leisure time and by all accounts many of you are already “Doing Your Bit” by recycling paper, cans, glass, cardboard and plastic (Yes, I’m afraid its true, I’ve been looking in the bins !). If you haven’t already picked them up, drop into Marina Reception and claim your free bags.

I am delighted to inform you that Fareham Council granted conditional planning consent for the redevelopment of Swanwick Marina at a planning committee meeting held on Wednesday 28th November 2007.

Naturally, Premier is delighted and we’re very grateful for all the support we have received from our Berth Holders and Business Tenants as well as the Swanwick Community, Local Authorities and Conservation Groups.

The comprehensive redevelopment of the marina will achieve a much-needed modernisation of the site for the benefit of Berth Holders and Visitors alike.

We are planning for work to commence on the £40m redevelopment in September 2008 and be completed by 2010.

Having spoken to many Berth Holders with regard to mitigating disruption during construction, you can be reassured that we are fully focused on a number of areas related to your enjoyment of the marina and will do our very best to continue to deliver the highest quality service and facilities during the construction period.

Once I am in a position to discuss berthing arrangements with Berth Holders I will make contact to discuss their requirements. The new configuration has been designed with you in mind and I have yet to meet a Berth Holder who, in principal, was not satisfied with the options.

I am very pleased to inform you that the availability of Berth Holders trollies @ Swanwick has increased this week. Having taken time to speak with many customers this year about the availability of trollies this was an easily identifiable service improvement that you all craved.

An additional 10, fully galvanised and easy to handle medium sized units were delivered to Swanwick Marina today and a further 10 are in the process of being fabricated by Premier’s in house Fabrication Department, Swanwick Marine Fabrications, for delivery in the new year in preperation for the new season, taking the total of new units to 20.

I do hope the new design and availability makes it easier for you to access the pontoons with your gear, especially when maneuvering up and down the pontoon ramps.

I’d be interested to hear your comments on the new trollies.

Customers taking advantage of our “Fuel at Cost” initiative will be pleased to hear that they are now able to pay for their fuel at the fuelling pontoon, avoiding the treck to Marina Reception!

A new mobile credit card terminal is now available shore side allowing you to fill up and pay in one easy go, leaving you free to enjoy more time on the water!
