Premier Marinas

Swanwick Marina is situated on the eastern bank of the River Hamble, approximately two miles upriver from the entrance on Southampton Water. The river is a popular and therefore busy area and care should always be taken.

• All entrance piles are lit and fitted with radar reflectors. Mariners are advised to keep to the centre line or to starboard of the centre line and not too close the entrance piles, especially at low water.
• Vessels over 20m must call Hamble Radio on Ch 68 on entry or before getting underway. Southampton Harbour also requires these vessels to call and monitor Southampton VTS on Ch 12, inbound when passing the Nab Tower and when entering Southampton Harbour waters from the West Solent and adjoining harbours.
• There is a 6 knot through the water speed limit and wash limit on all vessels whilst within the River Hamble harbour limits. Those in charge of vessels that break the speed limit will be warned that they are breaking the law. Where appropriate, offenders may be prosecuted.

By Road

Swanwick Marina is situated where the A27 crosses the River Hamble east of Southampton, and is easily reached from either junction 8 or 9 of the M27.

From Junction 8 

• Take the first exit at the Windhover Roundabout (signposted Sarisbury) and follow the A27 over the River Hamble and the Marina is on the right at the traffic lights.
  

From Junction 9

• Follow signs for Park Gate along the A27. Continue past Park Gate and Sarisbury Green and the marina is on the left at the traffic lights before the Bridge.

By Rail

• Southampton Airport Parkway is the nearest mainline station, and Bursledon is the local station on the Southampton to Portsmouth line, approximately 8 - 10 minutes walk away. 
• Local trains run about once an hour. 
• From the station go to the main road (A27) and turn right, walk over the bridge and the marina is on the right hand side.
