Walks around Southsea Marina
Southsea shopping centre is a bracing walk along the seafront or alternatively on Hayling Island there are some lovely walks.
Hayling Island
- Take the ferry to Hayling Island and walk along Sinah Common with its sand dunes to East Stoke. Along the way you will pass a lake which is home to plenty of bird life. Fishing licences are available from the local post office.
- The well known Hayling Billy steam train trail follows the route of the old train to the north of the Island. Go along Ferry Road and turn into Station Avenue which takes you to Station Theatre, marking he start of the trail. It is about 10 Kilometre walk there and back.
Southsea
- On the Southsea side there is a small swimming pool off Eastney Esplanade
- The Royal Marines Museum a short walk away
- And Canoe Lake offers pedaloes for hire
- South Parade Pier with amusements,
- Southsea Castle,
- Blue Reef Aquarium,
- D-Day Museum,
- Pyramids swimming centre,
- Clarence Pier funfair,
- and then onto Old Portsmouth.
