In the Event of an Emergency...
Contact the emergency services
- Dial 999 (or 222), select which service you require.
- Tell them the nature of the emergency, where you are and the number of the phone you are calling from.
- Notify the marina reception on 01489 884081 or VHF Channel 80, who will implement their Emergency Action Plan.
Do not attempt to tackle the incident yourself unless you are trained and it is safe to do so.
In the event of an evacuation leave the pontoon and jetty immediately and head for the nearest muster point. If the route is blocked, make your way to the nearest Water Evacuation Point.
Fire Safety Advice
Familiarise yourself and your crew of the Muster Points and Water Evacuation Points on the Marina.
At the fuel jetty:
- No Smoking
- Switch off your mobile
- Switch off your VHF
- Switch off your engine
- Switch off your cooker or any naked flames
- Get the Gas checked on your boat. Gas Check Marine offer free checks to Premier Marina customers
- Install a Smoke Detector
- Check that Gas, fuel,heaters, dehumidifiers and 240v equipment are turned off before leaving the vessel.
- Keep surplus petrol, diesel and gas containers to a minimum.
- Check your fire extinguishers and a fire blanket are serviceable
General Safety Tips
- Smoking and the use of mobile phones and VHF radios is forbidden in and around the area of the fuel pumps.
- Please ensure you turn off your engine while using the fuel pontoon.
- Do not clutter pontoons with materials, dinghies, etc.
- Do not let your boat overhang the pontoon as others may hurt themselves on anchors and davits.
- Do not speed in the marina or create a wash.
- It is forbidden to ride in the trolleys.
- Pontoons may be slippery when wet or icy.
- First Aid is available 24 hours a day from the Marina Reception
- Do not swim, row or sail in the marina
